Why Fastball: I joined when I was 9 years old because my neighbour down the street played; stuck with it because my Dad coached me for 20+ years and it’s our thing
On field position: Left Field
Real life job: Manager-Student Support & Engagement at Wilfrid Laurier University

Amy Jackson - Scheduler
Get to know Amy
Why Fastball: I got a glove in first grade – I played “Jail” with a tennis ball and the boys during recess. I had a good arm and loved both throwing and catching. My Dad told me baseball started during the winter down south, not realizing I was asking about girls softball as opposed to the pros. I finally saw a sign offering house league sign-up, and immediately asked my parents to play at the age of 10. I learned to pitch my first year!
On field position: Pitcher / Outfield / First base
Real life job: Entrepreneur, Owner Green Valley Event Rentals
Favourite player: Eric Hinske, I met him as a Junior Jay the last week of the season, right before he won Rookie of the Year. I still have his autographed ball.
Sarah Merkley - Statistician & Equipment Manager
Get to know Sarah
Why Fastball: It (Fastball) was something my family was always into. I love the mental aspect and strategy to the game.
On field position: 3rd base / catcher
Real life job: Extrusion Operator
Favourite player: Kelly Gruber, He was the same position and number as I was growing up
Fun fact about Sarah: I play the bass guitar and drums at church.
Rachel Schultz - Promotion & Leadership

Why Fastball: I started watching my Dad play slo pitch and wanted to try it out
On field position: Pitcher
Real life job: Teacher
Favourite team: Blue Jays, you have to support the home team
Fun fact about Rachel: I have a 4 year old standard poodle named Luka
Jennifer Ferfolja - Treasurer
Get to know Jen
Why Fastball: I started playing ball when I was 7 years old, and never looked back. It has been great to be able to progress to fastball over the years and continue to play.
On field position: 1st base
Real life job: IT Director
Favourite team: Blue Jays! I’ve been a fan for many years and grew up going to games with my family.
Fun fact about Jen: I love travelling and am always excited to explore a new place
Get to know Michelle
Why Fastball: My sister and I started playing at the same time and realized one of us pitched, and one of us caught. Then we saw A League of Their Own, and the rest writes itself
On field position: Catcher
Real life job: Director of Hospitality
Favourite team: The Rogues! We’re (2023) champions baby! Nothing better than squatting behind that plate watching you girls do your thing on a warm summer night
Fun fact about Michelle: I love my dog, my family and my Rogues, but there is nothing I love more than the Pittsburgh Steelers
